The Town of Collingwood is continuing with the lottery process for assigning food vendors requesting to be located on public property. Vendors must self-select a general food category from the provided list and may rank up to three pre-selected public property locations. Should more than one application from the same general food category (or categories) be received for the same public location, or more food vendors for the available spaces, then a lottery will be conducted. Should an applicant not be successful in obtaining their preferred location, their name will be entered into the lottery for their second-choice location and so on. All public location lotteries are conducted annually with no right of renewal for existing vendors.
Submission Deadline - Public Property Locations: The deadline to submit an application to operate a food truck on public property to be considered in the lottery is Friday, April 4, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. If there are fewer applications than pre-selected locations all applications received after the deadline will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.
Lottery: Public location food vendor lotteries will be conducted on Thursday, April 17th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Collingwood Town Hall - 2nd Floor Council Chambers (97 Hurontario St., Collingwood).
Available locations for food vendors on public property after April 17, will be assigned on a first come basis.
