The Roles of the Clerk's Office Include:
- Prepare and circulate Council documents including agendas and minutes;
- Maintain the original copies of all by-laws and minutes of Council/Committee;
- Administer Freedom of Information (FOI) requests under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA);
- Conduct and administer Municipal elections;
- Issue licenses for marriage, lottery, and business;
- Manage the municipal insurance program and process claims;
- Manage municipal property acquisition and dispositions;
- Issue boulevard encroachment permits related to Downtown patios and merchandise areas;
- Commission documents.
